I was in NYC last November. I visited this store and I discovered products I have never seen before in Europe such as yellow sheabutter and black soap. People were very polite. I still remember this store as one nice experience. ❤️ NYC!

I was hesitant to come in because of the customer service reviews, but I needed a wig last minute (don’t cut bangs the day before an interview 😅). The staff was actually polite and helpful, so I appreciate that. That said, the wig selection was a major disappointment and honestly a missed opportunity, especially being the only wig store in Astoria. All of the styles felt outdated, like they’ve been sitting there for years, and didn’t feel curated. Also noticed a small price discrepancy between the shelf label price and what rang up for a hair care product. Overall, good customer service, but the wig inventory seriously missed opportunity. I have never left a wig department without purchasing a wig, even as a black woman who lived in Alaska... this is New York City. Now I have to stop at a wig store in Brooklyn an hour before my interview.
Very good store all the staff is polite and they have a large variety of products. They also gave a small Christmas gift to customers which I thought was nice
Upon visiting the establishment, I encountered an incredibly discourteous manager. She rudely announced we had "2 minutes" and repeatedly shouted "1 minute" following that. Additionally, she insisted they were only accepting card payments without any clear reason. It was perplexing why she would allow us in if they were about to close.we ended up leaving and not getting anything as she was so rude. Given our purpose was a simple tint service, the experience was unnecessarily stressful and unprofessional. This is not an isolated incident; my sister experienced similar treatment. Her lack of basic customer service skills and poor attitude are concerning. Rest assured, I will be spreading word among family and friends to avoid this place due to the unacceptable service.
I visit the Steinway Store and asked for a nail fungus treatment in Spanish bc that's the language they speak. She pointed to this product. I asked again, you sure this is for fungus? It was just starting and I desire to fix it like I did once before. Instead, she said I had to remove the entire nail. The recommendation sound brutal. Turns out she sold me a nail hardener. When i return, she swore it took care of fungus. You be the judge?
